Step 1 of 5 · The first step onto the road
Faith
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Every journey toward the Kingdom begins with trust: believing that God is real, that He is good, and that He is near to all who seek Him.
Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed, the smallest of seeds that grows into a great tree. Faith often begins just as small: a question, a longing, a quiet hope that there is more.
Scripture describes faith not as certainty about every detail, but as confidence in the One who holds the details. Abraham set out "not knowing where he was going" (Hebrews 11:8), yet he trusted the voice that called him.
Faith grows as we hear God's word (Romans 10:17), as we pray honestly, and as we take small steps of obedience. It is less a feeling to manufacture and more a hand to open toward God.
