Step 5 of 5 · The hope at the end of the road
Eternal Life
“My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
Eternal life begins now in knowing God, and it is completed in a renewed creation where every tear is wiped away.
Jesus defined eternal life as relationship: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3). It starts the moment we come to Him.
Scripture paints heaven not as a cloudy escape but as home, a new heaven and new earth where God dwells with His people. "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain" (Revelation 21:4).
This hope gives courage for today. Because the end of the road is secure in Christ, we can walk with peace, endure suffering, and love boldly.
